Self-clean before entering Rinse off to prevent dirt and debris from entering the tub.
Wear shoes to & from the tub Removing shoes before entering helps prevent mud, dirt, and grass from your plunge.
Cover with Stay Cool Lid The lid prevents debris like leaves and dirt from entering the tub and maintain water temperature.
Clean tub regularly We recommend changing the water once per month, and replacing the water filter monthly. View instructions for water & filter maintenance here.
Replace cloudy water If the water becomes cloudy, drain and replace both the water and water filter.

Warranty, Shipping, and Returns

Warranty

All residential Viking plunges come with a 5-year warranty on the tub and a 1-year warranty on the chiller. The warranty includes replacement of parts that are shown to have defects in workmanship. The warranty does not cover damage as a result of poor water chemistry, neglected filter care or replacement (including air locks or air bubbles left untreated), freezing conditions, freezing conditions caused by adding ice, power outages, or lack of attention to low water flow. Commercial plunges include a 5-year warranty on the tub and a 1-year warranty on the chiller. View Terms.

FAQs

How do I drain the Viking?

The Viking features a sloped floor design for effortless draining. A drain valve is located at the bottom port, allowing you to connect a garden hose for easy water removal. When it is time to drain the unit, follow these steps:

Unplug the chiller
Close both grey isolation valves
Connect a garden hose to the bottom drain valve
Open the drain valve to release the water from the system

Please note that after refilling the Viking, you will need to reopen both grey isolation valves and plug the chiller back in to resume operation.

How cold can I set the temperature?

The coldest temperature setting is 35° Fahrenheit with both the Standard and Elite Chillers.

Will the Viking fit through doorways or on a balcony?

Yes, the Viking tubs can fit through standard doors, but it’s important to measure first: the Classic Viking is 30 inches wide and will comfortably fit through most residential doors, which are typically 32 inches wide, while the XL Viking is 33 inches wide and may require a 34-inch or wider opening—more common in commercial settings where doors are usually 36 inches wide. Always verify your specific doorway width before ordering.

Can I plug the chiller into a standard wall outlet?

Yes, the chiller can be plugged into a standard wall outlet (120V).

Is there a seat inside The Viking?

The inside of The Viking has no steps or seat. The buoyancy of the water allows you to sit in a comfortable squatted position without putting any pressure on your joints. Your body will naturally find this position.

Can I easily monitor the chiller’s filtration system?

Yes, the chiller’s clear filter housing allows you to effortlessly monitor the filtration system. Just a quick glance lets you see when maintenance might be needed, making upkeep easy.

How quiet is the Nordic Wave Chiller Generation 2?

Designed with tranquility in mind, this chiller operates with an ultra-quiet motor, ensuring minimal disruption so you can enjoy a peaceful plunge.

Do I need to winterize the chiller or can I leave it outside year-round?

The Viking Cold Plunge is insulated and designed for indoor or outdoor use within recommended temperature ranges. If ambient temperatures reach or fall below 14°F, the system must be properly drained and stored in a temperature-controlled environment to prevent freeze damage. For best results, using an HVAC or vacuum system to remove residual water is strongly recommended to ensure complete drainage. Freeze damage resulting from failure to follow these requirements is not covered under warranty.

Make sure both hot and cold mode are enabled in the Nordic Flow App under My Chiller > Settings > Cold & Hot > ON.

What are the bottom and internal dimensions of the Viking?

The floor of the Viking has a length of 24" and width of 19". The internal dimensions of the Viking are 32"x26"x37" (WDH).

How often do I need to change the filter?

We recommend replacing the filter once per month. Water quality may vary based on location.

Changed My Life!
Absolutely Love starting every day with a workout and then Nordic Wave plunge! The first minute is attention-grabbing, and then the next four minutes are Zen-like! All previous inflammation in knees and ankles has vanished. I have more energy during the day and simply feel younger and more agile! My own experience
I’ve struggled with apathy and mild depression for most of my adult life. After doing some research, I decided to start cold plunging. I have to admit that climbing into an icy tub at 7 am every morning sucks.
After 2 straight weeks, I’ve noticed my mood increases, my joints feel better and I sleep more soundly.
I’d recommend it to anyone after checking with their doctor. I love it and make it a daily habit it. It’s worth more than any medication. 💪

Happy Cold Plunges!!!
We love love our XL Cold Plunges. They have been a big hit for our Loyly Finnish Saunas here in Burley Idaho. My wife has dreamed of creating an experience for people to enjoy. It is fun to see her eyes light up when customers say “This has been the best thing that we have done.” It has been cold here but with heat blankets they keep the cold plunges from freezing. We have around 50 guest per week and we have been only open for two weeks now. Cold plunges does take your breath away but makes your body feel new again. Thank you for a great product!

WOW… THE BEST
I have been cold plumbing for three years now, but wow! This Plunge just hits different. The Thermal layer is constantly disrupted which created a constant cold effect. I feel amazing after. EASY INSTALL which I as a non “Handy” kinda Man, really Appreciated 😂
