Warner Jenkins

At 22 years old, you don't expect to be rolled through a hospital in a wheelchair and told you have arthritis (an autoimmune disease), becoming a prisoner to your own body. The interesting thing about not being able to walk, though, is that your perspective on everything gets flipped upside down. Some matters quickly become important, while others become trivial.

Over the last five years, I have been searching for answers to the complicated challenge of reversing my autoimmune disease; a search that has taken me to the mountains and beaches of Costa Rica, where I experienced the value of cold plunging and its impact on both mind and body.

While there, I was introduced to breathwork and was taught how to combine these holistic therapies to reduce the pain and inflammation wreaking havoc on my body. Committing to cold water immersion therapy, I began to feel a change both physically and mentally.

But the journey didn't stop there. I started Nordic Wave out of a personal need to make cold water immersion part of my daily therapy routine, while bringing new cold plunge solutions to the market. Our team is focused on supporting those seeking to maintain their health, as well as others like me, seeking holistic health transformations for long-term renewal.

About Warner

Warner Jenkins is a health experimenter, entrepreneur, and the founder of Nordic Wave, a premium cold plunge and breathwork company built around his personal journey to reclaim his health.

In 2018, Warner was diagnosed with autoimmune arthritis at 22 — wheeled through a hospital and told he had a complex disease he might never fully recover from. Refusing to accept that prognosis, he spent the next eight years on a self-directed search for real answers, navigating everything from prescription biologics like Humira and Enbrel to fasting protocols, peptide therapy, ozone treatment, mold and heavy metal detox cycles, and advanced regenerative medicine.

That journey took him from the mountains and beaches of Costa Rica — where he was first introduced to cold water immersion and breathwork — to building one of the most experimentally tested home recovery stacks you'll find anywhere. Cold plunging and sauna stacking, breathwork, red light therapy, PEMF, comprehensive lab testing, methylation support, peptide protocols, and functional medicine principles became the foundation of his daily practice. The results — measurable improvements in inflammation, mobility, mental clarity, and quality of life — convinced him that what worked for him could help others.

In 2023, Warner founded Nordic Wave to bring premium cold plunge technology and structured breathwork resources to others on similar health journeys. Today, the Viking Cold Plunge and Nordic Flow Breathwork App support a growing community of customers integrating cold therapy and nervous system regulation into their daily recovery practice.

Warner writes regularly for Nordic Wave's blog, where he covers cold therapy protocols, breathwork techniques, recovery stack design, and the broader science of preventative wellness. His writing focuses on translating firsthand experimentation into practical, evidence-informed guidance — helping readers cut through health and wellness noise, take ownership of their own data, and think differently about how the body actually heals.
